| << Previous | Isaac Riggs's General Store
Isaac Rigg's General Store located at the corner of Main and Pearl Street circa 1880's. Built in 1870 by Isaac Rigg's, the store was later run by his son John and eventually was bought by Osborn Mekeel, who in turn sold it to Edward Bodge who expanded and remodeled the building. The premises were also the home of the Nelsonville Post Office and all four men held the office of Postmaster. In its later years the building became a multi-family apartment building until it burned to the ground in 1996. The spot is now the location of the Nelsonville Village Green.
