Village Government

Mayor: Tom Corless

Mr. Corless is the legislative and policy-making head of the Nelsonville Village government. He was appointed in April 2007 after serving as a Trustee.

Trustees:

The Trustees, together with the Mayor, compromise the Nelsonville Village Board which acts as the Village's legislative body and meets the first Monday of every month.

Village Justice:

Dennis Zenz

Judge Zenz presides over the Nelsonville Village Court, which meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 7 P.M. in the Village Hall.

Building Inspector:

George Duncan

The Building Inspector issues building permits and certificates of occupancy. As Code Enforcement Officer, the inspector is responsible for enforcing all the building and zoning codes in the Village of Nelsonville.

Village Clerk:

Pauline Minners

As Clerk, Mrs. Minners is responsible for preparing the Board of Trustees' agenda and minutes of Board meetings, supervises voter registration, conducts bidding for large expenditures, and files local laws with the State among numerous other responsibilities. In addition, as Treasurer, she is responsible for the receipt, disbursement, and custody of Village funds. She compiles and maintains financial reports and arranges for any bonds or notes authorized by the Board of Trustees.

Village Attorney:

Robert Lusardi, esq.

Mr. Lisardi handles all of the legal matters of the Village of Nelsonville. He can be reached through the Village Clerk.

Village Historian:

Michael Bowman

Mr. Bowman, in conjunction with Mrs. Doherty, handles all historical inquiries by Village residents or interested parties. He can be reached through the Village clerk or by email.
